The Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH) is looking for a coordinator for the One Health Platform to start as soon as possible.

The Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH) Greifswald is a branch of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). Here, we research the connections between the health of humans, animals and their environment. Our goal is to better understand zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance and the evolution of pathogens, thus contributing to the prevention of pandemics. Founded in 2021, the institute, with its international and interdisciplinary teams in a total of five research groups, is a beacon for innovative One Health research in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany, directly on the Baltic Sea.

The One Health Platform (OHP) is a coordinating, dynamic structure that supports inter- and transdisciplinary scientific development in the One Health field according to the One Health definition of the One Health High Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP), links national and international funding initiatives, provides impetus and space to identify research gaps and needs. The work of the OHP is coordinated by the office, which is decentralised and located at the University of Münster, the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut (FLI) in Greifswald – Insel Riems and the Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH) in Greifswald.

As the coordinator of the One Health Platform (OHP), you will support the head of the OHP for the HIOH-Greifswald site and the institute's director, Prof. Dr. Fabian Leendertz, as well as the scientific officers at the HIOH and the staff at the other OHP sites.  On the other hand, they take on organisational tasks for the One Health Platform and work closely with the scientific and administrative departments at the HIOH.
