TWINCORE is looking for a part-time administrative manager.

TWINCORE is a joint institution of the Hannover Medical School (MHH) and the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). Here, medical and basic researchers from various disciplines work side by side in infection research. Our focus is on translational research, the interface between basic research and clinical development.

The administration at TWINCORE organises all central administrative processes at the centre. It sees itself as a supporting unit that creates the necessary framework for the scientific working groups to fulfil their research mission.

Tasks

The allocation of tasks within the team is generally flexible and takes into account the personal abilities and interests of the team members. Possible tasks include the following:

  • Providing conceptual and content-related support to the head of administration in various projects and initiatives, e.g. in the areas of
    • project management/process management
    • digitalisation
    • new work
    • sustainability
    • diversity
    • risk management
  • Recording and optimising processes in the administrative area
  • Preparing and following up on committee meetings
  • Coordinating data protection in cooperation with the data protection officer
Prerequisites
  • University degree in a scientific field in the areas of economics, management science or natural sciences
  • Ideally professional experience in science management or one or more of the possible topics
  • Very good oral and written English
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to grasp things quickly, high willingness to learn, flexibility and resilience
  • Good communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Affinity for science and research

19,5 hours per week
