The Department of Press and Communications is looking for a student assistant to provide support.

The Press and Communication Department at the HZI is looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) to work up to 32 hours per month, with the option of home office. The successful candidate will be responsible for weekly updates and maintenance of the websites of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (www.helmholtz-hzi.de) and its locations.

Tasks

The tasks include both the creation of new content and the maintenance of existing content in the backend of the Typo3 content management system. The work is carried out under the supervision of an experienced online editor. The tasks are expected to be completed conscientiously and reliably. The student assistant will become a member of a team of science editors who continuously work to optimise the website. With appropriate qualifications, a more intensive connection to the editorial team is conceivable.

Prerequisites

We are looking for a student assistant who enjoys the activities described.

  • Enrolled student at a German university
  • Sound computer skills in the common MS Office applications and basic knowledge of Adobe image and video editing software
  • Knowledge of content management systems (especially Typo3) would be an advantage, but is not absolutely necessary
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • Careful work is one of the basic requirements for this responsible task
