45 million euros for InfectControl2020

HZI is one of 30 partners of a consortium funded by the BMBF

The collaborative project “InfectControl2020” – initated by the The Leibniz-Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology- Hans-Knöll-Institute - will be funded with 45 million Euros by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The money will be used to develop innovative strategies for the fight against infectious diseases over the next five years.

Thirty partners from research, clinics and industry had jointly applied for the BMBF funding in context of the initiative “Twenty20- partnership for innovation”. The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research was one of them. Furthermore, the TU Braunschweig and the Robert Koch-Institute are part of the consortium.
