Forschungsgruppenleiterin

Eva Medina studierte Biologie an der Universität von Sevilla in Spanien und promovierte 1990 an der Medical School of Seville. Während ihrer Postdoc-Zeit am Immunology Department der Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in London und dem Trudeau Institute in New York studierte sie die Wirt-Reaktionen auf Infektionen mit Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

1997 wechselte sie an das HZI – damals GBF – in die Abteilung Mikrobielle Pathogenese und Impfstoffforschung. Seit 2004 leitet sie die Arbeitsgruppe Infektionsimmunologie am HZI.
