Forschungsgruppenleiter

Martin Korte hat sich bereits während seiner Promotion über „Signaling Systems at hippocampal synapses“ am Max Planck Institut (MPI) für Neurobiologie in Martinsried mit synaptischer Plastizität beschäftigt. Danach übernahm er eine Arbeitsgruppe ebenfalls am MPI für Neurobiologie.

2004 kam der Ruf an die Technische Universität Braunschweig, wo Martin Korte seit dem Jahr 2007 die Professur für Zelluläre Neurobiologie und auch die Geschäftsführung des Zoologischen Instituts innehat.

Im Jahr 2012 hat er eine Arbeitsgruppe am HZI gegründet und vernetzt mit seiner Erfahrung auf den Gebieten der zellulären Neurobiologie und der Neurophysiologie die Bereiche Infektion und neurodegenerativer Erkrankungen miteinander.
