As a member of the Helmholtz Association, the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, based in Braunschweig, conducts top-level research in the field of infectious diseases. Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to fight infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal is to develop novel approaches for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Our research focuses on bacterial and viral pathogens, their interaction with the human immune system and new effective substances and vaccines.
The main task of the Purchasing & Materials Management department at the HZI is to ensure the economic supply of both the scientific and administrative departments by procuring and managing a wide range of goods and services. This task requires compliance with legal regulations, a focus on sustainability, transparency and respect for human rights in order to match the needs of science, research and teaching with administrative requirements.
Tasks
- Incoming goods, goods distribution and dispatch
- Representation of equipment management
Prerequisites
- Completed commercial training or comparable training with equivalent skills and experience
- Experience with merchandise management / logistics
- Experience with material postings in incoming goods with SAP
- Lifting of incoming parcels of up to 25 kg
- IT skills (MS Office, SAP R/3 MM)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Very good knowledge of German
- Passion for materials management
