The data centre is looking for a student assistant at the IT helpdesk for up to 50 hours per month.

You will get to know the processes in the IT Helpdesk and IT Workplace area at a renowned research institution and learn the basics of the daily work at the computing centre and the IT Helpdesk.

Tasks

You will support our department in its day-to-day business, in particular in data maintenance and the organisation of the IT helpdesk. In addition, you will support us in the preparation and implementation of smaller projects.

  • Support with 1st level IT support requests
  • Installation and setup of new IT hardware
  • Support with creating and managing new users in the Active Directory
Prerequisites

We are looking for a student assistant who enjoys the above-mentioned tasks and is enthusiastic about the IT world.

  • Enrolled student at a German university or university of applied sciences with a focus on computer science, business informatics or other IT-related courses of study
  • Interest in the IT helpdesk and ideally already some initial experience with computer installations and Active Directory
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Careful working is one of the basic requirements for this responsible task
  • Organisational talent and good communication skills
Working hours

Up to 50 hours per month, by arrangement
